Housed in a beautiful 200-year-old former sugar warehouse, the Museum of London Docklands tells the story of London’s role in British trade and exploration around the world. Our exciting galleries bring the history of the docks and the River Thames to life with hands-on activities, interactive displays and evocative recreations.
We offer a wide range of interactive sessions supporting History, Geography and STEM as well as dedicated learning programmes for special schools and Early Years/Foundation Stage.
Just a short walk from the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf, we are home to London’s only dedicated gallery on the transatlantic slave trade. Our hands-on children’s gallery, Mudlarks, is bookable for schools from 10am-2pm during term time.
